Job DescriptionThe Global Technology division manages the critical systems and platforms behind the company's retail, commercial and institutional businesses, along with key support functions worldwide. Work covers mobile and online banking, payments processing, technology infrastructure, cyber-security, risk and capital management and enterprise data management. Skills exposure: Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Yarn, Hive, Sqoop, Impala, Hue, Python, SQL, Scala, Spark Streaming, Kafka, Shell Scripting, ETL, Quartz, Teradata, Datastage, Tableau ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will make sure software meets functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, with solutions designed for maintainability, easy integration and testing from the start. Key tasks may include: Gathering and translating internal and external client requirements into technical design specifications, including business process re-engineeringCoding solutions and unit tests, and making sure they integrate cleanly into internal banking applications with robust, well-tested interfacesTaking part in CI/CD delivery and release events, such as branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge and conflict resolution and release notesDocumenting models and findings, and supporting data collation and processing for development and deliveryBuilding proofs of concept to test new ideas or reduce riskMaking sure execution meets technology expectations for functionality, quality, performance, reliability and timelinesWorking with global development teams and business partners across APAC, EMEA and AMRS to translate requirements for banking, trading and marketsIdentifying, escalating and resolving incidents and issuesFoundational SkillsYou will take part in hands-on work across the full software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, coding, testing and deployment. A good grasp of industry development and testing practices and design patterns for complex applications is expected.
